Intro

Hello and welcome to The Fit Old Git. That’s me, Clive Burns, in the photos.

In 2012, aged 46, I was getting on a bit. I was out of shape and out of condition. I decided to do something about it and finally start looking after my body and health. I set some goals, made a plan, and got on with it. I also recorded the whole process to share with anyone interested.

It worked out well. I reduced my body fat by around 60%, gained muscle, and improved all aspects of my physical fitness. More importantly, I learned how to do it in a way that was sustainable.  Since then, I’ve maintained both the lifestyle and the body—and I’ve enjoyed the benefits of living in a lighter, leaner, fitter and 'biologically younger' version of me.

If you’re interested in doing something similar, the content here is designed to help you do it—without fads, shortcuts, or talking bollocks.

Get the Basics Right and Keep it Simple

That's essentially been the formula to my success in the short, medium and long-term.

This is the sequence:
1. Know your starting point.
2. Know your target point/goals.
3. Understand the gap between the two.
4. Understand how to close the gap.
5. Align key elements of your lifestyle to your target point/goals.
6. Keep your lifestyle simple and repeatable.
7. Keep going until you reach your target point/goals.

Here's a quick video of me going through this.

Join the Club

Obviously, I can't cover everything you need to know on one page or one video.  That's why there's a CLUB for you to join where I share everything I did and still do to this day.  The club is a series of courses designed to take you through the basics step by step and then move on to the practice.

Here's what's inside.
